What’s new this month Information for holiday companies Providing an autism-friendly service ensures autistic people feel comfortable in your establishment. You can support autistic customers by asking in advance if they have any dietary requirements or need assistance.Learn more through our resources Join a branch this summer Looking to make connections over the summer? We have 115 volunteer-led branches across the UK, offering support, information and social activities for autistic adults, children and their families. We also offer online branches for autistic people with shared interests, identities or experiences. Join us to connect and engage!Find out more Sensory processing podcast Autism Central have launched a new podcast, bringing together autistic people, parents, carers and professionals. The first series focuses on sensory processing and is hosted by Holly Sprake-Hill, a neurodivergent occupational therapist. Learn more about sensory processing and the differences that autistic people can experience.Listen to the podcast Empowering Autistic Travel The National Autistic Society are a few months into our project researching autistic people’s experiences of transport. We have launched our second and main survey, and we are focussing on how train, bus and taxi travel can be more autism friendly. If you or someone you know is autistic and you are at least 18 years old, we are keen to hear from you. You can take part whether you do or do not take these modes of transport. By completing the survey you can enter a prize draw for £100 voucher.
