Children with special educational needs are entitled to transport provided by the local authority and this is always discussed at the point of admission to the school.

We do, nevertheless, work very closely with Transport to ensure that your child’s needs are catered for, as far as reasonable resources permit, to the highest standards possible, including providing new passenger assistants with information and training by inviting them into school before they start, as well as after they have started whenever this is considered beneficial.
Please note that the Passenger Assistants are there solely to ensure the care and safety of your child and do not have any role in passing messages or information between home and school – the only routes for this are via your child’s home/school diary or via phone/email in the usual ways.
