Family Support SEND Team

At Wyvern Academy, supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) goes hand-in-hand with working closely with families. Our dedicated team of Parent Support Advisors work across both primary and secondary departments to make sure every pupil and their family receives the tailored support they need to thrive.


Ann‑Marie Snell – Primary Support PHOTOGRAPH TO FOLLOW

Role: Covering all aspects of safeguarding and family support for Primary (Early Years – Key Stage 2)

Ann‑Marie supports SEND provision in the primary phase. She works with teachers, support staff, external specialists and families to:

How she supports families:

  • Offers regular updates at review meetings
  • Attends and supports parents at EHCP reviews
  • Works in partnership with parents to plan support
  • Provides guidance on accessing additional service
  • Supports with referrals to specialist services
  • Through school‑led workshops, information evenings focused on SEND in primary.

Lauren Clark – Secondary Support PHOTOGRAPH TO FOLLOW

Role: Covering all aspects of Safeguarding and family support for Secondary (Key Stage 3 – 4 and beyond)

Lauren supports SEND provision for older pupils, ensuring that students continue to receive the help they need as academic demands grow. Her work includes:

  • Ensuring robust safeguarding for all pupils and staff across the school.
  • Contribute to the development of the school improvement plan.
  • Planning for transitions to further education, training, or work
  • Liaising with subject teachers and outside agencies

How she supports families:

  • Guides parents through secondary and post-16 options
  • Attends EHCP reviews and transition planning meetings
  • Through school‑led workshops, information evenings focused on SEND in secondary
