Holiday Activities and Food Programme – Dorset Council

FSM-HAF-poster-2024

Do you know about the Holiday Activities and Food Programme offered by Dorset Council?

Children who are attending a Dorset school and in receipt of free school meals can access free activities during the school holidays.

Free places are also offered to children who are within the Dorset Refugee Programme (e.g our Ukraine guests).

Summer in Dorset will soon be launching and here are just some of the benefits children and young people get to enjoy:

  • take part in an exciting programme of activities and events
  • make new friends
  • take part in physical exercise and learn new skills
  • enjoy tasty and nutritious food
  • sessions specifically for child with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • take part in short breaks
  • have lots of fun!

You can find out more here – Summer in Dorset – Dorset Council

Please can you encourage eligible families to apply for a pass code

This can be done by sending the following information to holidayactivities@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk.  You can also do this on their behalf provided they have given you permission to do so.

Child’s name

Date of birth

School

Places get snapped up quickly, so it’s worth getting passcodes in advance ready to request places as soon as they are released.

We will be sharing information on what activities are available locally, on our Facebook page, as soon as we hear about them.

www.facebook.com/groups/chesillocality

Full listings of activities will be held on the Help and Kindness website when the programme officially launches.

If families need further advice or support with this, they can contact our Family Advisors by calling Chesil Locality on 01305 762400.

Thank you for helping to support families in accessing these opportunities.

Best wishes.
