Wyvern Leavers 2020

Despite lockdown restrictions, the 2020 Wyvern leavers celebration took place in the hall yesterday afternoon complete with music, slideshows and presentations. It was wonderful to welcome back some students who had been out of school for months, if only for one afternoon, along with parents, friends, 6th form students and staff. As always it was a very moving event where we looked back over the years with photos of all the amazing things these young people have done, Everyone agreed it was important that we marked the occasion and it was lovely to see so many people.

After school there was a gathering for staff in the sensory garden with ice creams, to say goodbye to some staff who are moving on this year. We said goodbye and good luck to teaching assistants Abi Diment, Nicola Foster and Danielle Reid. We also said goodbye to teacher Jill Edwards who has been at Wyvern for many years and taught most of our pupils at some time. Most recently Jill was teaching in Blue Class and also had responsibility for Design and Technology and was designated teacher for looked after children. Jill is retiring and we wish her and all our leavers every happiness for the future.
