6th Form News, December 2019

Sixth Form trips out have included Cineworld to see Abominable as part of the Into Film festival, to Lodmoor Country Park to collect pine cones to decorate for Christmas, and to Goulds garden centre to take photos of wreaths as objects of reference for Horticulture. Roll on the festive season!

We have been out in the community working on developing life skills to make choices and order meals in cafes, finding items in supermarkets and using self-checkout tills and then working together to make meals to share.

Riley has joined the Sixth Form in Endeavour class. He is a happy and smiley young man who has settled in well.

Endeavour visited Dorset Abilities and joined in with the Clubbersize class!

In Discovery class we have been working on our photography skills              independently using the pentax camera to take portraits of our peers and are now taking photographs of still life compositions. We will be using these photographs to make Christmas cards to sell as part of our  business enterprise.

Pathways have had lots of fun taking selfies and portraits of each other this term in art! We have also been investigating different ingredients to make curry pastes and pesto to sell for Christmas business enterprise, and done a bit of tasting too…
